May 11th (Mother's Day) Once again the Victoria Fiddle Society will be holding a fiddle showcase at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park. The event will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. We hope to have individuals, small and large groups performing including Daniel Lapp’s BC Fiddle Orchestra and Folkestra.
Marie Bachand ( marie@abachand.ca ) is coordinating this event again so if you would like to perform as an individual, a duo or in a group please send her an email as soon as possible. Please note that each performance is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. If you are planning to perform you will need to meet Marie backstage at 12:30 pm so she can let you know when you’ll be “on”.

Canada Day - VFS is planning to have a float in the Sidney Canada Day Parade again this year. Ann Gower will be coordinating this, so if you are interested in getting involved, contact Ann agower@uvic.ca

Our monthly jams are held from September to June, usually the first Friday of the Month - check the schedule for exact dates. Beginner/intermediate jams are lead by an experienced fiddler. Advanced Jam in a separate room.
We welcome all musicians, all ages and skill levels.
New Location: St. Matthias Anglican, 600 Richmond Rd., from 7-10pm.
Admission: VFS members FREE, $2 for drop-ins.
