The cornerstone of the VBA is the weekly bluegrass jams, where players, singers and listeners can come out and indulge their love of bluegrass and related music every Tuesday evening. Players of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Jam utilizes both the upstairs and downstairs rooms of the hall. Downstairs is a "break-out" room for more experienced players. Common courtesy and jam etiquette should be observed. Upstairs the VBA provides structured activities as follows:
7:45-8:45 slow pitch jam
8:45-9:00 break
9:00-10:00 moderated circle jam
The last Tuesday of the month replaces the jam with an open stage followed by a feature act concert. Fiddlers welcome!
