Comprised of two brothers and their best friend, the Djazz Trio plays music in a style that will transport you to the smoky fire outside a gypsy caravan.

Significantly influenced by the masters of gypsy jazz,  Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt, the Djazz Trio also embrace a variety of other music genres, creating  unique fresh arrangements on standard tunes, with edgy improvisations.   

The Djazz Trio consists of 12 year old Oliver Moneo on accordion, 12 year old Quinn Bachand on guitar and 14 year old Nelson Moneo on violin.  This up and coming gypsy jazz group combines a variety of elements to create their own unique style that brings out their uncanny ability to play music from their soul.

May 31 - 7:30 pm Scott Woods is coming to the Knox Presbyterian Church.  “Upbeat” and “Uplifting”.  These two words could well describe The Scott Woods Show. A benefit concert on behalf of  Presbyterian Sharing.  This fast paced two hour concert skillfully combines old time fiddling with country gospel.

Songs, perennial favorites, and a generous helping of Humour, You’ll be treated to one of Canada’s best talents – the man with the flying fingers and the magic bow – fiddling sensation, Scott Woods. Scott has performed to enthusiastic crowds throughout Canada, the U.S and in Holland.

This young man has captured all the major Canadian fiddling titles, including Canadian Open Fiddle Champion, Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Champion, and Canadian Fiddle Entertainer of the year. For seven years he was the musical director and played the part of Don Messer in Memories of Don Messer Jubilee, a tribute show which has toured across the country. In addition, he has several recordings to his credit, which will be available at the concert.

There are lots of things to watch for when Scott Woods takes to the stage. His keen sense of timing and his sharp wit will keep you on your toes.

Scott is backed by his own four piece show band. Together, they stir up a storm of good music to lift your heart and feed your soul.
